Cities Over Seas began as the collaborative effort of Doug Campbell and members of Slow Release (Alex Butler, Matt Durkin and Craig Marrer) with the addition of Joe Parker on drums. Since then our friend Marshall Hughes has joined us to cover synth in our live shows. We write love songs about cannibalism and have the perfect sound for road trip listening.
Our members hail from the Rochester, Syracuse and Albany areas and we all attend college in Potsdam, NY. We wrote an album’s worth of electronic music over the summer of '07 and recorded it that fall. The album, National Phantom, is a 9 song LP written, recorded and produced by Cities Over Seas that is available for sale now.
