With the emptiness I'm sure all Mets fans feel right now with the loss of Shea Stadium, we look towards CitiField with tears in our eyes.
Citifield is not only the new home for the New York Mets. It is the new home for Mets fans. It is the new home for new hopes and daring dreams. Dreams for championships. Dreams for a dynasty. A dream to finally take full control of New York City once again.
All of these things we hope and dream for as we move on toward our new home, CitiField.
Let 2009 be the year where something special happens in this town. Let it be the New York Mets, our New York Metropolitans, who bring that special thing here.
