A call to arms, Citizen Rising, invites listeners to fortify their eardrums. Raw riffs, refined vocals, and an in-your-face attitude have other rock bands with their backs against the wall...<br>><br> Started by Jody Eastman (vocals and lyrics) and Alex Ball (guitar and keyboards), when the two left their former band to create something new. Before they knew it, an overflow of material existed. They immediately began recording their songs, with Alex producing, and knew it was time to seek out other members to bring the music alive and to the stage. After numerous auditions, they choose Patrick Sans (guitar) and Matt Jacen (drums). With the line-up complete, they began their journey... Unlike many typical rock bands, Citizen Rising, fuses elements of Alternative Rock, Electronica, and Metal while sprinkling in poetry and melodic emotion. It's a perfect balance of aggressive ethos and whispery passion... Their debut album, "Who Among the Angels", was released in January 2008 through a Los Angeles based Independent Label, Prophet in the Trenches, in conjunction with Little Box Records... Citizen Rising promises to deliver more of their unique sound to the studio, as well as the stage, where they continue to pack venues and take over crowds with their performances.
