I have been a musician since I started stealing my sister's piano books and teaching myself to read. In 1994 some jokester friends thought it might be fun to give me an accordion. All hell broke loose. In rapid succession Citizens of Xee's Gotee Princess (A Subset of Xee) took the stage, followed by Beladika and Avant Garage -
Then the East Euro bug swept over town and carried me west to Seattle. And here I remain. Gotee Princess and the Citizens of Xee made a few appearances early in my West coast arrival, but I was side tracked my dancing and improv for a bit, only to resurface from that deluded side road to find myself in Ensemble Sub Masa , playing music from Romania and other points East. I also play in Hell's Bellows and Operadisiac, a goofy comedy inspired trip into the land of opera for perverts.
Friends in Seattle know me as one of those accordion ladies who goes about encouraging bad behaviour with squeezeboxes and bellows inflicted random performances. These antics can be found under the guise of the seattle Accordion Army. and I teach group classes through the UW's Experimental College.

The only thing constant is change. And I got change all over me... So The Speakeasy will debut May 13 instead, and be on every Tuesday thereafter. Come on down and cut the rug!
Privet, tavaricha! Last night I explored the key of A major for about 4 hours with my new pals at the pub. Of course I was thinking of it as F# minor, but I didn't let on... Sometimes we have to keep our little secrets, well, secret. love from County Mayo A
