For those who want to download a copy, please folow the Link provided here. I would appreciate all feedback, especially that which points out errors and misprints.(there are a few title font errors). Thanx in advance to all those who send comments etc. The book is 270 pages and is PDF, 5.6mb. (PLEASE ENTER YOUR E-MAIL TO RECIEVE THE NEW DOWNLOAD LINK AS IT ONLY WORKS ONCE PER ADDRESS) CLICK FOR DOWNLOAD. I will update this section when i have time and new info At the present moment my interest is RAM PUMP technology. these pumps use no engine or electrical power source. the pump is water driven ! i am fortunate enough to know a friend who is developing these pumps and has kindly offered to donate one for use in one of the project groups we work with. The guys who design and build these pumps are very helpful about explaining the principal and the technology to those who are interested... i have some pictures which i will get around to uploading but in the meantime you can see their homepage which has animation and explains things about the development process... it is an extremely interesting site for those schools or students doing projects and if anyone has a water or pumping problem then i'm sure the guys would appreciate the challenge... i also have the brochure in the thai language which will be uploaded as soon as possible.. the link below will take you to their page which is in english.        WHAT IS DHARMA ?
    >WHAT IS DHARMA?.. The word Dharma is derived from the root DHR- to hold- and its etymological meaning is ‘that which holds’. Dharma is so called, because it holds: Dharma alone holds: the whole of creation from the microcosm to the macrocosm, this world or the people of the world. It is the Fount from which Freedom flows. There is no thing conceived or otherwise that is not held by the Dharma. It is the eternal Supreme Law. The Entire and the All are sustained by the irreducible Law of Dharma. Practice of the Dharma, therefore, means recognition of this Law and abidance by it in our daily lives. That which brings well-being to man is Dharma. Dharma supports this world. The people are upheld by Dharma. Dharma leads to eternal happiness unsurpassed. That which is Dharma is ultimate Truth. Therefore, whosoever speaks the Truth is said to speak Dharma, and whosoever speaks Dharma is said to speak the Truth. .....yours in the Dhamma / Dharma pra lewis citta dhammo bhikkhu ..

The slideshow above shows the young novices at the temple where i was ordained as a Buddhist monk. I travel there from time to time to visit my preceptor and to see how the boys are getting on. Someone has started building a small building for them to use as a library/study room and i am thinking of helping the monk who trains them. Phra Santi has a great deal of time for these youngsters and often asks when i am coming back to help him... he was very good to me when i ordained and spent alot of time giving me instruction in his limited English vocabulary. Temples need monks of his disposition who can assist those who are new to the teaching. I have often thought about trying to help and maybe next year i will do so. The boys are just that... young boys who are a little hard to control sometimes. I will add names etc after they have seen the page and try to encourage them to use computers for education rather than games, i hope if they see themselves on the internet they will take an interest in making their own contribution. wait and see

    Greetings Pra Lewis.....

I had to stop by and wish you a very Happy Birthday, I know I am a couple of days early but did not want it to slip my mind. I have been working that American 8-5 job, that I just realized is not for me anymore. How are you doing? By the looks of your site you have been busy. I am beginning to research another journey quite different from my last one, I will email you soon with some thoughts/ideas. Drop me a line when you have some free time, I would love to hear what you have been up too.

    Respectfully,
    Margaret

Tirukural-Chapter 32: Avoidance of Injuring Others

    Kural 311

Even if injuring others would bring princely riches,
the pure in heart would still avoid it.

    Kural 312

It is the principle of the pure in heart never to injure others,
even when they themselves have been hatefully injured.

    Kural 313

Harming others, even enemies who harmed you unprovoked,
    surely brings incessant sorrow.

    Kural 314

If you return kindness for injuries received and forget both,
Those who harmed you will be punished by their own shame.

    Kural 315

What good is a man's knowledge unless it prompts him
to prevent the pain of others as if it were his own pain?

    Kural 316

Actions that are known to harm oneself
should never be inflicted upon others.

    Kural 317

The highest principle is this: never knowingly
harm anyone at any time in any way.

    Kural 318

Why does he who knows what injury to his own life is like
inflict injury upon other living human beings?

    Kural 319

If a man visits sorrow on another in the morning,
sorrow will visit him unbidden in the afternoon.

    Kural 320

All suffering recoils on the wrongdoer himself. Thus, those
desiring not to suffer refrain from causing others pain.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
