CITYFOX PARADE FESTIVAL

Es ist wieder soweit. Die Streetparade steht an, am 13. August 2011. Wie schon letztes Jahr organsieren wir unser ganz eigenes Festival. Wir haben wie gewohnt 2 Special Party’s mit einem Riesen Line-Up zusammengestellt, das viele Herzen höher schlagen lässt. Schon alleine wegen der Vielfalt und Abwechslung - so kombiniert, dass sich eine perfekte Reise ergibt.

Idealer Reisestart ist die Poolparty in der Rimini Bar. Hier werden wie schon in den letzten Jahren unsere Lieblings Zürcher & Schweizer Acts spielen, sowie die internationalen Gäste der Clubnight in der Alten Börse (Streetparade - Samstag Nacht) & noch einige Special & Surprise Guests.

Die Clubnight ist dann das nächste Reiseziel, nur ca. 200 Meter von der Rimini Bar entfernt. Ein nahtloser Übergang ist gewährleistet, darauf haben wir natürlich geachtet. (Poolparty 12:00-23:00, Clubnight 22:00-OpenEnd) Unsere gemeinsame Reise endet dann irgendwann am Sonntag in einem Open-End, je nach Wetter wird das ein wenig länger oder kürzer dauern. Hier noch genauere Beschreibungen zu den einzelnen Reisezielen:

CITYFOX POOL PARTY @ RIMINI BAR

Einerseits nützen wir die Gunst der Stunde bzw. des Datums, und veranstalten in der Rimini Bar unsere schon legendäre CITYFOX POOL PARTY. Diese wird eine der wenig offiziell bewilligten Open-Air Party’s abseits der Parade selbst sein. Sicherlich immer noch ein Geheimtipp, obwohl wir es nicht mehr so geheim wie in den ersten Jahren halten können. Da es aber eine geschlossene Location ist, werden wir wieder selektieren, wie auch schon in den letzten Jahren. Die Eintrittszahl bzw. Kapazität der Pool Party ist limitiert, also früh kommen, wenn man sicher rein kommen will.

Die Playtimes sind auch traditionell eher Freestyle mässig gehalten, einzig die Live-Acts sind zeitlich gesetzt. DIGITALINE, ANDRI und CANSON werden diese spielen, sie gehören zur Stammbesetzung am Pool. Genauso sind RINO, DEJAN und DON RAMON mit nationaler Verstärkung von CROWDPLEASER und ANDREA OLIVA an den Decks. Internationalen Support bekommen wir dieses Jahr von M.A.N.D.Y., HEIDI, DJ T. und MARKUS LINDNER sowie Acts, die in der Nacht noch in der Börse spielen. Wer die Poolparty kennt, weiss das auch wieder einige Surprise Special Guests anzutreffen sind und ein Paar Platten drehen, diese können und wollen wir aber aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht ankündigen. Die Überraschung wäre nicht mehr dieselbe und man muss ja nicht alles verraten. Was wir noch verraten können, ist dass ihr wie immer ein fettes Soundsystem, spezielle Deko & Gadgets, kühle Drinks und ein Haufen motivierter Open-Air Tänzer erwarten könnt. Jetzt muss nur noch das Wetter mitspielen, dann könnt ihr die Badehose & Bikini einpacken, die hohen Schuhe zu Hause lassen und mit uns eine weitere legendäre CITYFOX POOL PARTY feiern. Ab 12:00 Mittags, in der Rimini Bar am Schanzengraben 1!

CITYFOX CLUBNIGHT @ ALTE BÖRSE

Andererseits nützen wir die ausgezeichnete geografische Lage der ALTEN BÖRSE, um dem sonst eher Mainstream lastigen Programm der Streetparade entgegenzuwirken.

Wir haben uns mit M.A.N.D.Y. und Get Physical zusammen getan und ein All-Star Dream Team zusammengestellt. Die zwei Durchstarter, die wir als erste Headliner verpflichten konnten, sind sowohl eng mit Cityfox als auch mit Get Physical & M.a.n.d.y verbunden. Sie belegen im Top100 DJ Ranking von 2010 den 3. Und 6. Platz und dies auch noch total verdient. SETH TROXLER und JAMIE JONES! Seth hat ganz klar Superstar Potenzial und schliesst immer mehr auf die ganz grossen Namen wie Richie Hawtin und Villalobos auf, obwohl die für lange Zeit als unantastbar galten. Seth verkörpert die neue Generation der Clubgänger, genau so wie Jamie Jones, der in den letzten Jahren einen neuen Sound entwickelt hat, der zwar klare Wurzeln im Old School hat, aber trotzdem immer so fresh klingt wie noch nie gehört. Beide, Seth und Jamie, betreiben mit ihren eigenen Labels Visionquest und Hot Creations dann auch noch zwei der momentan angesagtestsen und erfolgreichsten Labels, die schon fast omnipräsent die Charts dominieren. Auch wieder sehr präsent an der Spitze ist Get Physical, das Label übertrifft sich zur Zeit selbst mit jedem neuen Release und zeigt ein unglaubliches Gefühl für den Moment. Dieses Gefühl wollen wir mit diesem Programm auch zeigen und haben HEIDI und DJ T. als weitere Vertreter gebucht. HEIDI ist ein Energiebündel, die ihre Power immer genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt auf den Dancefloor überträgt und DJ T. schon eine Legende, seines Zeichens Gründer von Get Physical, des Groove Magazins und dazu ein excellenter DJ. M.A.N.D.Y. selbst, zum ersten Mal beide - Philipp und Patrik - führen die ganze Meute an. Eine Premiere feiern wir mit CROWDPLEASER, den wir eigentlich schon ewig buchen wollen. Der Genfer Soundkünstler ist ein Experte, wenn es um ein perfektes Set mit Aufbau, Höhepunkt und Ende geht. Wem das noch nicht genug ist, bekommt noch eine Portion Fuchs oben drauf. DIGITALINE & ANDRI, zwei unserer Lieblings Live-Acts und Cityfox Label Künstler. Andri, der mit seinem unglaublichen Groove alle zum Tanzen zwingt und Digitaline, die uns schon seit Jahren mit auf ihre psychedelischen Klangreisen nehmen. Sound zum abheben, genau so wie der von WANDLER & MARKUS LINDNER, für uns zwei der Besten im Moment.

Wir öffnen auch wieder einen 2. Floor, den DON RAMON, RINO & DEJAN beschallen werden, um einen schönen Kontrast zum grossen Mainfloor zu gewähren. Wie gewohnt, bei unseren Festivals, bereiten wir auch wieder spezielle Visuals und Effekte vor, mehr wollen wir da aber nicht verraten. Der Vorverkauf ist schon online auf starticket.ch, da wir auch in der Börse nur eine limitierte Eintrittszahl haben, und aus Erfahrung der letzten Jahre ab einer gewissen Zeit in der Nacht keinen Einlass mehr garantieren können. Also auch hier ist früh kommen empfohlen, oder eben den Vorverkauf nützen. Ab 22:00, in der Alten Börse, Paradeplatz, Bleicherweg 5!

CITYFOX PARADE FESTIVAL

It’s time again. Streetparade is at the door: August, 13th 2011. As already last year, we organize a Festival on our own kind. As usual we throw two special parties with big line up’s that let our hearts beat faster. Just the variety and diversion itself, combined the right was let the events become one big picture.

We recommend to start the journey at the Rimini Poolparty. As already might know from the last few years we invite our most beloved Zurich and Swiss acts as well as the International guests who will play at the Alte Börse Club Night (Streetparade – Saturday Night). And there will be of course a few special and surprise guests too.

So, the next destination is just 200 meters away from Rimini Bar. It’s the Alte Börse Club where the CItyfox Club Night starts. Of course we thought of a seamless change over (Poolparty 12:00 – 23:00, Clubnight 22:00 – OpenEnd). So now it’s up to you to get some closer information on the two Cityfox Parade Events:

CITYFOX POOL PARTY @ RIMINI BAR

On one side we benefit of the streetparade event date itself to throw our legendary poolparty once again as one of the few legally permitted open-air party's during the day, offside of the parade. It's probably still a secret tip, even if it's not as secret as in the first year we did it. But another advantage of the location is that it's closed and we do a proper selection at the door, like the last 2 years. The capacity is limited, so better come early if you want to make sure to come in. The line-up is traditionally a freestyle-open playtime session with only the live-acts playtimes are set. DIGITALINE, ANDRI and CANSON are playing live, they are our poolparty regulars.

Along them others are RINO, DEJAN and DON RAMON with national back up from CROWDPLEASER and ANDREA OLIVA on the decks. International support this year will get from M.A.N.D.Y., HEIDI, DJ T. and MARKUS LINDNER as well other acts playing at the clubnight at Alte Börse. Everybody who knows the poolparty, knows that there also Surprise Special Guests to see, hear and meet, but we don't want to anounce them to keep it a surprise for you. What we can tell you is that we'll have a proper fat soundsystem, like you expect it from the fox. We also have special decoration, gadgets, cool drinks and a bunch of motivated open-air dancers waiting for a hopefully hot day at riminibar. If the weather plays our game, bring your bikini, bathing trunks, let the high heels at home and celebrate another legendary CITYFOX POOL PARTY with us! Starting at 12:00 noon, at Rimini Bar, Schanzengraben 1.

CITYFOX CLUBNIGHT @ ALTE BÖRSE

On the other hand we profit from the perfectly placed location of ALTE BÖRSE to counter streetparade’s mostly mainstream programs. Which shouldn’t say that our headliners this year would be coming out of the ‘underground‘ themselves, but at least their sound remained true to it.

We teamed up with M.A.N.D.Y. and Get Physical to put an all star dream team together. And along come – also tightly connected with Cityfox, M.A.N.D.Y. and Get Physical – Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones. They claim 3rd and 6th position in the 2010 Top 100 DJ Ranking! Seth for reals got super star potential and catches up more and more with the big names such as Richie Hawtin and Villalobos. And these two seemed untouchable for a long time. Seth represents the new generation of clubbers. And so does Jamie Jones who invented a new sound, that got clear solid old school roots but sounds so fresh as never heard before.

Both, Seth and Jamie have their own record labels Visionquest and Hot Creations which are extremely en vogue and successful at this moment of time. Just watch them dominating the charts. Along comes Get Physical, who surpass themselves sometimes with their new releases, showing an unbelievable feeling for the right moment. It’s exactly this feeling we would like to show you with this particular program. So there is Heidi and DJ T. that support the Get Physical team: Heidi is a hot bundle of pure energy and she always knows exactly the perfect moment of time to show it off on the dancefloor. And DJ T., a true living legend, founder of Get Physical Records, the Groove Magazine and he’s an excellent DJ. M.A.N.D.Y. themselves, the two oft hem, for the first time – Philipp and Patrick – are the leaders of the pack!

With CROWDPLEASER, who we wanted to book ever since we started out with Cityfox, we clebrate a classy premiere. The sound wizzard from Geneva is an expert when it comes to a proper DJ set with intro, arc of tension and outro. And because you still can’t get enough, you’ll get another portion fox on top: DIGITALINE & ANDRI, two of our most beloved live acts and label artists. Andri with his unbelievable groove, gets everybody to dance and Digitaline, take us on psychedelic sound journeys since years. What a gift! And because it’s Streetparade and not Christmas there is another present for you: WANDLER and MARKUS LINDNER. Just the two best at this moment of time. So better be ready!

We open up our 2nd floor for you again, this time with tunes from DON RAMON, RINO & DEJAN who’s vibes will show you proper contrast to the big mainfloor. As you can assume we will also prepare special visuals and other interesting effects again… but we won’t tell here more about our secrets. The ticket presale started already on STARTICKET.CH. As access is limited in the ALTE BÖRSE, we cannot guarantee entry for everyone during the whole event. From past years experience we can recommend you: come early or get your ticket through the starticket presale! The Party already starts at 22:00 at Alte Börse Club, Zürich-Paradeplatz, Bleicherweg 5.
