City Limits grew up together. Two sets of old friends who had played for years. The four of us found ourselves in Boston for a June. Kyle and I were realizing our band was ending. Dan and Andrew still nursed the wound of their ended band, gone for over a year at that point. We decided to play together every night for the month, before three of us would depart from the Beast. In the shadow of Fenway, we played for hours each night, stopping only for water breaks and to make fun of hardcore. We received sage advice from other late night denizens of the practice space, and tried to “anticipate a thousand.” Dan would drive everyone home in the Bonnie, and Andrew would usually just go straight to work. At the end of the month, we played a show and recorded five songs with Will Killingsworth. I think everyone was sick. We met up on the first day of July to say our farewells and name the band. Six months later we met up in New York, played for a week and wrote two songs. Our politics, it would appear, are nothing but emotions. We played a show on New Years Eve, and recorded the new songs with Will. Then we all went our separate ways, again. We play with no larger aim than to play together. Two sets of old friends doing what they have done for years.

I stayed in Brooklyn around Holloween '05 and you guys were playing a loft party in Greenpoint. You guys are the perfect lets-make-things-work situation.
