Our goal in this is to glorify God in all that we do, to write and play music that glorifies Him, perhaps something that will cause you to stop and think or discover a different perspective of Him, or say something you haven't been able to vocalize before.
We come from different places and have been influenced by different things. Currently we are a chemical engineer, a pilot, a teacher, a salesman, a technician, a father, a husband; we all work, we all have families, we're all friends.
We hope to do this for as long as God lets us, and when it's all said and done have no regrets.
It all started 5 years ago when a rather rhetorical question was asked...
...Wouldn't it be cool to record this?...

What some people say about us....
"City of Refuge has now played two shows for the Houston basketball fans, and have been great to work with. They were very flexible and understanding and worked with us, and not against us to make sure we put on the best possible show for the fans. That made things much easier for us on a production level, and then they did the same on the entertainment level. They put on a great show, and have a fantastic sound that has equaled success at the past Houston Rockets and Houston Comets Faith and Family Nights. The fans really seemed to respond to their music. Overall, City of Refuge has become a fan favorite at Rocket and Comets games, and I thank you for that."

"I have worked with City of Refuge on many levels. As a Worship Band they are professional and a perfect match for my leadership camps I do for youth. As people they live out their faith not only in their music, but in their character. What can I say I have been working with youth for more than fourteen years and I would recommend City of Refuge again and again and again!
God bless you as you continue to be a light for Christ!"

HAPPY 2008!!!! I've been too lazy to even make a list of resolutions for the upcoming year...wow...how ironic...I can't even get the LIST done, much less the goals on it. =P Oh well...maybe I should start overcoming my slothfulness in time for 2009's resolutions. We'll seeeee. Got any new years resolutions planned for yourself? :D
