The other day Dr Hortman and I were talking. These ole country vets crack me up. Dr Hortman was telling me about Dr Gradous looking at dog chin hairs. 4 hairs means a champion dog, 3 hairs means a great, smart dog, 2 hairs a good ole fella and 1 well... Ok, so we have progressed a bit from the ole country ways but still fun to look at chin hairs.

Rescues are welcome here. Gladly, I will try to take a jack russell, weimaraner or a golden retriever if I have room for them. If I do not have room, I will try to help you find a forever home. If you know of a dog of this type of breed who needs a home please contact me. I'm always looking for a few good friends. Most of the dogs you see on my page here are rescued dogs. I find many a GI who want a companion but then has to move or go overseas and can't keep their pet. Call me. I will do all I can to give your best friend a loving home.
My pups are sold most always by time they are 4 weeks. At 5 weeks most are ready for pick up. I sell my registered pups as limited and full registration. Most people only want a pet and are not looking to breed or show so they like the option of a less expensive AKC dog with the limited registration. I put a lot of time and energy into the pups. They are dewormed starting at 3, 5, 7 and 9 weeks if I have them that long and again at 6 months. I start shots at 5 weeks. Also I provide preventive treatments for coccidiosis starting at 3 weeks. I try very hard to send everyone away with a healthy pup.

I supply and give my own dewormer and shots. The new pups are dewormed with safe-guard (fenbendzole) for three days at a time every two weeks. Puppies are given Progard-5 which protects againist Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type2, Parainfluenza,and Parvovirus Vaccine at 5 weeks of age. At week 8 providing the pups are with me I give them the Progard-6 which includes the above but also adds the coronavirus and at weeks 11 and 14 the Progard-8 vaccines which also adds the Modified live virus Leptospira Bacterin. All puppies are dewormed and vaccinnated with at least the first vaccine before leaving me unless requested not to do so if a newborn is picked out.

I start taking deposits as soon as pups are born. First come, first serve. Sorry no holding pups without a deposit. Be the first on your block to say "I got mine". Refundable deposit if fault of mine. I keep the deposit if you back out.

My vet is located 2 miles down the road in case we ever need them quickly for an emergency. I use to use Dr. Cranford DMV, and Ed Hortman DMV at Springwood Veterinary Clinic. This use to be where Dr. Gradous practiced but he has since retired.

Well I took her to the vet today. She is completely healthy and everyone loved her! They are going to take care of the hernia when I bring her to get fixed at 6 months. She is also going to get chipped. Next week she is getting dewormed on Friday and then the next week she is getting shots. We are so happy with her, and she is a completely healthy lil girl. She is also stubborn already....LOL

Hey Virginia, sorry it has taken solong to get back with you. I was actually getting ridof chloe's pup. hey virginia how are the pups? congrates on the new rescue. juno is getting so big and she is so smart. she is learning her name and has had no potty training problems at all. we are very excited that she is with us. i have taken more pics but i havent gotten them on the computer yet. a guy asked me where i got her so i gave him your email address hope that is cool.
My trip went okay other than having to drive through all the heavy rain. It wasn't mean, you're not the only one that kidded me about that . It was dry when I got there though. I was ticked because I think the alternator is bad and they claimed they fixed it at the shop the day before which turned out to be not true.
I just feel bad because I laughed at something that someone said about a friend of mine in a kidding manner and it turned out that her feelings were really hurt. My conscience gets me every time.
