About me:
Proud Makers of Some Really Screwed Up Films...
It's not just a motto, it is our mission statement. We at Captain KickAss Productions strive to make films that are truly original. We have no desire to be categorized by the traditional Hollywood conventions. We seek to make unique, quirky, different, genre-bending, and boundary pushing films that not only entertain our audiences, but make them wonder, if only briefly..."What the F@..k?"
Our films all start with a simple twisted idea, and then evolve (or devolve depending upon your perspective) from there. While certainly, a large number of the ideas we develop derive straight from our asses, many others come out of our everyday lives. We are always observing the world around us, and when that perfect inspiration comes, we obsess over it, until the time comes that we can make it into the next KickAss production.
Based near St. Louis, MO, Captain KickAss Productions burst onto the filmmaking scene in the Summer of 2005 with its entry into the 48 Hour Film Project. Produced in true guerilla filmmaking style, "Caller I.D." was made with absoulutely no budget and was produced by an extremely skeleton cast and crew.
The film, which featured a man being stalked by a telephone, won the award for Best Sound Design.
Since that time, Captain KickAss Productions has been hard at work developing and producing equally twisted and warped films.
