Clacket Lane have been described as Coldplay in the 1970s, the influences of the band shine through in their performances with hints of Pink floyd, Athlete, Coldplay and Led Zeppelin all making appearances. The broad dynamic range of Ben Freeburys voice and the impeccable drumming of Mick Bennett whose previous works have included supports of; The Bluetones, The Undertones, Shed Seven and has played for bands; The Lost Boys and Psychobabble, provide a solid base for a memorable and original sound. The band have recently played reputable venues such as; the Barfly, West one four and the Bed bar, they are currently touring universities nationwide supporting well known bands including The Feeling and Boy kill boy, The Guillemotts, Lucie Silvas, One Night only and Paladium.
