We are Clairecords, your one and only stop for the best in shoegaze, dream pop, indie pop and everything in between! Our impressive roster of melody makers past and present includes The Daysleepers, Averkiou, Paik, Tears Run Rings, The Frenchmen, Electro Group, Airiel, Mahogany, Ifwhen, Silver Screen, The Brother Kite, The Tangles, Eau Claire, Malory, Isobella, Sciflyer, St. Avalanche, Guitar, Pia Fraus, Highspire, Mean Red Spiders, park avenue music/hearts+horses, Raymond Scott Woolson, Air Formation, Monster Movie, Secret Shine, Autodrone, The French Horns, The Flatmates, Stella Luna, Astrobrite and many more. Check out our vinyl-only sister label, Claire's Echo, and Tonevendor (www.tonevendor.com), our mail-order/distribution operation, for all your independent music needs. Clairecords is distributed worldwide by Carrot Top, Tonevendor, Revolver and Darla. If your favorite music emporium is bereft of our releases, by all means let them (and us) know and we'll do everything humanly possible to rectify that situation. Please note that Clairecords is NOT accepting demos at this time. As such, sending us messages asking us to listen to your demo is a waste of your time and ours. (Especially if your music sounds nothing like what we put out. Come on-- do you really want to bother us with your reggae/jam band/bizjazz/country/blues/rap project when we don't put that sort of thing out? Think long and hard about that for a minute.) However, if you'd like to book one or more of our bands, license a song or two for your film or TV show, obtain a promotional copy of something for airplay or review, or send us buttloads of money, go right ahead. Don't even THINK about posting big obnoxious graphics on our comments section unless it's an item advertising a show or release featuring one of our current or alumni bands.
