Claire is a native New Yorker, playing bari sax all over the world in a variety of settings. She won the Jazz Journalist Association's +++"BARITONE PLAYER OF THE YEAR" in '05+++ and+++"RISING STAR ON BARITONE"+++ in the DOWNBEAT CRITIC'S POLL for the last 6 yrs.Her CDs, "Rah! Claire! yes, let's do some music. I made a friend who play bass saxaphone, we should start a low reeds long tone ensemble. I'll be "in town" on thursday, Mothguts is playing at Otto's Shrunken head on 14th between 1st ave and A on thursday at 8pm. It's free, so if you're not busy swing on by.
We'll actually be flying out of N.Y.C to Hawaii...so, in essence we'll be there for a couple of days around June 29th and again around July 14th and will most likely secure lodging in Manhattan.
