Claire Schofield is an acoustic folk singer/songwriter from the secret farmlands of Leicestershire, England.
Sowing seeds of music from her room, with only her Guitar, Keyboard, Microphone, Mac and a passionate love for acoustic folk - Claire has recently completed her first album for independent release.
Work started on the album in the gloomy-grey summer of 2008 whilst balancing her time around a full-time job. Claire sought to make music from the heart that crosses the emotional crosshairs of happy, sad and random playfulness.
From the Northern and Middle Lands of the Kingdom, Claire has extended the reach of her sound - solely for the enjoyment of performing to appreciative listeners.
Noted for her nimble finger picking, delicate songs and soft voice – the many kind words of support along the way is the reason she continues.
