2009 Rock Erie Music Awards
Please Vote for the Claire Stuczynski Band as Erie's Favorite Acoustic/Folk Band
With a voice that distinctively separates her from other female artists and lyrics that accurately speak to the hearts of people, Claire Stuczynski is quickly becoming a favorite in the Cleveland music scene. Claire, born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, journeyed to Cleveland in the summer of 2006 with hopes of finding thriving channels to express her musical talents.
Claire emerged from a musically expressive family as her mother and father were both leading members of the local playhouse. Claire had been introduced to all kinds of music as a child. Her young ears were filled with the soft, sweet lullabies her mother sang to her yet also the thunder of Jimmy Page's guitar as her father would always jam the Led Zeppelin albums. Her father also rocked the 1980's in a Christian rock band that served justice to Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" like none other ever had. Claire learned from her family, taking out the good and leaving out the Bon Jovi, and taught herself how to play guitar alongside her dad's James Taylor records. It wasn't long before she began creating her own melodies and writing lyrics to accompany her lovely music. She had completed her first full length song at age 13.
Throughout the years, Claire has written many songs, independently and with her former band mates, Better Off Trying (which disbanded in early 2005). In addition to Better Off Trying, Claire spent several years as a member of her church's worship band and has also done numerous side projects with an eclectic mix of musicians.
Claire is always looking to take her music to the next level and works hard to keep her music innovative and inspiring. Aside from her characteristic voice, Claire is brilliant on the guitar, bass guitar and drums. If you like what you hear or you are a musician interested in collaborating with Claire, please leave a message.

Its all ages! doors open at 7:00pm they sell fairly cheap beer and wine there, but security's loose, and i'm sure their drinks aren't as cheap as stuffing a 5th of 110 vodka into your girlfiends purse, Just a heads up. I don't like our fans being discuraged to come see good music by bar prices.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
