My support group has to be mentioned. My wife. She inspires me, challenges me, encourages me and reminds me that she is NOT my roadie!
My son. He watched his Dad closely and learned more than I would have guessed. His dedication to his music inspires me and his hard work and creativity is impressive!
I love them both!

As a live solo artist, I cover six decades and seven styles of music. My ability to accompany my voice with both the piano and guitar is the biggest asset to my musical versitility and gives my audience a musical variety pleasing to the ears. It is not uncommon to hear something from The Everly Brothers and Frank Sinatra, and later hear songs by Rick Springfield, Dave Matthews and Jimmy Eat World. My choices are dictated by the age, background and given requests of my audiences, along with a few of my personal favorites and original music that is mixed in throughout the night. Music is only part of the equation. After many, many years of performing I have developed a unique ability to entertain. My audiences deserve great music, but they also deserve a good time! That is all part of the package. We have fun!
Artists I cover:
Frank Sinatra, The Everly Brothers, Pure Prairie League, Dobie Gray, America, Paul Simon, CCR, The Penguins, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Bryan White, Tracy Lawrence, James Taylor, Rick Springfield, Bryan Adams, John Cougar Mellencamp, Jimmy Buffett, Jackson Browne, The Goo Goo Dolls, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Plain White T's, Cutting Crew, Stone Temple Pilots, Jimmy Eat World, Violent Fems, The Wallflowers, Dave Matthews, and many more from the 50's to the... well, whatever we call the now!
About my own music...
My original music covers a lot of different styles. I have played in many different style bands from classic and 80's rock, to big band and jazz, to acoustic and even country. You will hear those influences in my music. Whether a country flavor in "Those Were The Days" or a sappy ballad flavor in "Your My World ( I miss your planet)", I think you'll enjoy the musical versitility of my music. Please enjoy responsibly!
Music is my life long journey. It is meant to reach and impact the soul. It is my hope that as I continue my persuit of music and make it available to all of you, it will reach and impact your souls in a positive way.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to open for acts such as Brad Paisley, The Great Divide, Little River Band, Wade Hayes, Three Dog Night (What's left of them) and Kansas. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to tour and play with some of the finest musicians in the country. Their impact on me has been monumental both personally and musically.
All original music is written, composed, performed, and recorded by Carey Langer at Clanger Studio. All glory goes to our creator and savior. I am but his instrument for you!
"Aimee" is written and recorded by Pure Prairie League and they alone reserve all rights. This version was performed and recorded by Langer Hayes live at Okoboji, July 2008.
