Clapham Omnibus is an artist, and a philistine. He is intelligent, and a fool. He is loved, and he is despised. He is cool, and he is a loser. He is a leader, and he is a follower. He is a warmonger, and he is a hippy. An obese old man, and a starving young child. He is a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, a Hindu, and an Atheist. He is George Bush, and he is John Kerry, and he is Saddam Hussein. He is a fireman in New York and he is Osama Bin Laden. He is determined, and he is confused. He is you, and he is me.
The music here was inspired by life, by death, by humanity, by inhumanity, by love, by hate, by forgiveness, by bitterness, by the "Other" which is often referred to as God (or Jehova, or Allah, or one of his many other names), by existence without the Other, by beauty, and by those times when beauty is the last thing we see. This world is so beautiful... and yet, at times, a complete shit hole.
Sometimes the music just comes to me, and in such instances, the music speaks to me the same way it speaks to you. Other times, the music is developed through sweat, blood, and tears. And in the process, in the journey, in the wandering of the search for art and beauty, something that wasn't now is. In the same way creation myths and legends start with chaos that is shaped in to what is existence, music comes from the chaos of ideas, notes, sounds, and words to become existence. I am not so proud a man to claim such creation as my own, for we all contribute. I alone am not Clapham. We are Clapham.
Mr. Clapham and Mr. Wembly Shadwell are dear friends and can often be seen enjoying and playing music together.
chicago. hmm, other than not having a job, yet, it's alright. I feel like there's so much in chicago that I don't know what to do with it. So many people in chicago, I don't know where to start investing my life. I can't wait to get going musically.
People shouldn't treat music as background noise for their leisure activity. It's like treating music as porno music. I miss those days, late at night dropping weights onto the ground, asking our managers to grab us some tea. the nights of struggling to produce music but too tired to be inspired by what we're playing. I miss the feeling we had in the barn. It gave us magic to write whatever we wanted. A high so strong that left many going through the painful period of withdrawals. Jon, you need to fix december 22nd. unless you moved on. Why am I commenting to you? Because the music kept me sitting still to listen and I wanted to say hello and to tell you that I did not forget you.
Yeah I know!! I went to go leave you a message and it said we weren't friends... haha j/k. Yeah it's a story but the beauty is am back and were still good of friends as before.

egad! I forgot to tell you that we posted another new tune on Wednesday night... sorry 'bout that. this one is a bit of a departure from what's been posted already, so give it a few spins and drop us a line to let us know how you like it. thankayou.
