"Artistically, she's already got something special, and those flashes of songwriting brilliance are a strong indication that more will come. Make sure you get to know Clara Berry now, as the time may come when she's become too big to get to know." -Wildy's World
"I listened to three songs on her MySpace page and was especially taken with "The Widow's Watch." "Your son was waiting to be free, to join his father in the sea," sings Berry with an expressive voice that makes me think of Fiona Apple (and that's a good thing)."-The Portland Press Herald
"As always, I'm impressed with the diversity and quality of Maine-based musicians and Clara Berry is definitely one of the best. "-The Kennebec Journal
GET ON THIS BOAT FREE NOW AT Hey Guys! I'm Clara and I love to write music.
I started playing piano at the age of 8, not so much my decision as it was my mother's, but I thank her as it seems to have turned out well.
I began to compose about five years ago with the help of my brillliant teacher Tom Kovasavic and in the past year have started landing gigs at a variety of Mainely venues a la the North Star Cafe, the Maple Room, and the Union House Cafe.
I recently finished working on my album Wave which is on iTunes now (the widget for buying them here will also be out soon). But just search for Clara Berry on iTunes and it will pop right up!
Currently I am attending UMass Lowell for music business and so far its been a verrrry educating experience.
Tell me what you've been up to? We are going really well. The Gallant Trees are now a full band and we are having our launch on the 10th December. Website will follow during our Australian Summer. Will let you know all the details. Also putting up some ideas for the Pigeons and Birdwatching filmclips. I have a live version of Pigeons up on you-tube, you can watch it at
thanks for adding us. you have an incredible voice and I love your piano playing, too. I also think your sound and Stroamata's could go well together, if you ever need to share a bill, keep us in mind.
sorry it's taken me so long to comment back! some show swapping would be great...I'd just have to find some good times and probably wait until my record comes out but yeah I've never been further north than maryland it would be a fun trip
I Love!... your rare and bold style. Very artistic and sincere. And of course... I love your intimacy with your piano. It's perfect! Thank you for the friend request and listening to my music as well.
