The Claret Sky were first formed in February of this year, the band are made up of five people whom are classed as human beings.
Sebastian Moody. Pingu. The band organiser who enjoys tea and prefers digestive biscuits to chocolate ones, he is rather partial to shellfish and finds cycling quite pleasurable. Like turrets Sebastian often suffers from uncontrollable outbursts and proceeds to shout the number 2-1-9. His recent obsession is to contact others using the telephone, but wait, not using the numbers, no! He taps the receiver instead. This satisfies him, his knowledge of telephones will stay with him for eternity. He is the guitarist and his influences include King Crimson, Pink Floyd, the Mars Volta, Frank Zappa and Radiohead. Quote- the oysters are good this time of year.
Aaron Hartman - In his own world, Aaron who is afraid of silver pens also likes to cycle yet due to an unfortunate accident in which Aaron hurt his hand he has decided it is wise always to stay awake behind the wheel. Such tiredness was undoubtedly caused from simply not sleeping, (at all) and relying on the power of caffeine to keep him awake. He is also the guitarist, and his influences are, well all types and all kinds of music. Quote- Is the Aar-on?
Jon Parrett - Dred Monkey, the sportsman of the group, Jon often enjoys the pacifist’s sport of rugby, enjoying a Pimms as he stands on his opposing teams heads. Appearing in everyone’s dreams Jon is a gentle giant, although obsessed with the state of his roots Jon enjoys his hair, spending most of his time with it. He has an eating system in which he is able to consume a whole table full of food; he uses a circular motion method. Watch him to get more of an insight into his way of consumption. He is the Bassist and his influences include, The Mars Volta, Tool, Pink Floyd, Roni Size. Quote- sunrise and sunsets, (sang).
Lewis Partridge - King Lewy. Loves the funk! In comparison to cycling Lewis enjoys walking, (everywhere) you will often see Lewis out in all weather walking often on the hunt for an egg mayonnaise sandwich. Other times Lewis likes to eat pizza followed by some red stripe as it goes back to his roots, he’s Jamaican you know! He is the ninja drummist and his influences include anything Jazz, Funk and Soul. Quotes- Rah blud, I like to think of myself of quite a connoisseur of red wine! It’s Rose` Lewis!
Gemma Hughes - Squirrel, the other organiser in the band. She enjoys writing and viewing dark comedies as she is secretly a bit sick in the head! Gemma takes pleasure in playing with and editing film, she wants to be a geek but is too much fun. She believes she is a professional at badminton, however this is not true, though she does get rather competitive with this type of pass-time. She sometimes likes eating marmite out of the jar with some toast on the side. Gemma is a bit of a creative artist, and needs everything to be symbolic, therefore disliking things with no meaning. She will indefinitely appear as a presenter on Blue peter, as Basil brush predicted. She is the Vocalist in the band and her influences include, Radiohead, Bjork, Connie Francis and Portishead. The Claret Sky were bound together, originally being Sebastian (Baz) and Aaron (Ron) as the genius of Q- , who created riffs and concepts in which a lot of the claret sky sound is based around. Hoping to elaborate on this they introduced Jon to create a bottom end to the music also to expand on harmonies, loving the basic sound yet feeling un complete, the three decided to voyage a hunt for an amazing drummer and unusual intense vocals. Evidently it was not much of a challenge as the two were found wondering aimlessly in the realms of the same employment. Luring ninja drummer Lewis in to practice was not too difficult only a few days of begging and within that time Baz asked Gemma if she could sing, replying with I guess, she was invited to jam with the rest of the band.
i just wanted to let you guys know that i have been working on a song, its pretty random. hard to work shit out just on bass, so things will have to be changed probably. have you guys been writing shit at all?

I just got the album. It still shocks me just how much Gemma sounds like Beth Gibbons at times. I need to see you guys guys live sometime. Doing any gigs over Easter? I might be in Luton then.
