Michael Dean is a clarinet recitalist, soloist, clinician, and orchestral/chamber musician. He has appeared as a recitalist at Carnegie Hall, the International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest conference, and the NACWPI National Symposium. His new CD, Desertscape: New Music for Clarinet, will be released in October 2008. He has premiered and edited several new clarinet works and is featured as chamber musician and soloist on the Red Mesa Trio CD. Dr. Dean is Associate Professor of Clarinet and Saxophone at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He is also President of the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors (NACWPI).
