Clarkkent - 'This is personal' nyt valmis!
Clarkkentin debyyttialbumin työstö on saatu päätökseen ja valmis levy löytyy kaupoista 25.3. lähtien. Levy sisältää sinkut ”In my arms” ja ”I.W.T.C.Y.”, jotka löydät mm. iTunes Storesta.

Clarkkent - 'This is personal' is now ready!
The work on Clarkkent’s debut album is now over and the record can be found in stores on March 25th. It contains the singles “In my arms” and “I.W.T.C.Y.” which are available in iTunes Store.
The music video for I.W.T.C.Y. can be seen on SuosikkiTV.

While waiting for the album 'This is personal' you can send your request of the new single “I.W.T.C.Y.” to YleX.

Se oli lähellä!

Helsinkiläinen rock yhtye CLARKKENT oli vähällä julkaista esikoisalbuminsa omakustanteena. Yhtye oli työstänyt jo kolme vuotta pitkäsoittoaan erilaisten tuottajien ja miksaajien kanssa keikoista saamillaan vähäisillä rahoilla ja treenikämpällä alkoi olla yleinen fiilis että pannaan kiekko nyt kauppaan vaan ja katsotaan mitä tulee. Eteenpäin oli päästy, mm. Rasmuksen lämppäriksi kiertueelle, mutta seuraava steppi oli pakko saada jotenkin aikaiseksi. Suuret levy-yhtiöt eivät olleet kiinnostuneet bändistä, mutta pojat päättivät kokeilla kaikkia ovia ja ottivat yhteyttä Sunrise Avenue-yhtyeen voimakaksikkoon Jukka Backlundiin ja Samu Haberiin.

"Jotenkin tuntui oudolta tarjota biisejä ja levyprojektia Jukalle ja Samulle - niistä sälleistä saa varsinkin median kautta lievästi sanottuna erikoisen kuvan, enkä oikein ollut varma onko ne sellaisia jätkiä joille haluaisin antaa meille sydämenasiaksi muodostuneen jutun", kertoo solisti Jaakko.

Backlund ja Haber innostuivat Clarkkentistä heti ja Backlund tarjoutui tuottamaan valmiiksi kaksi mielestään sinkkukelpoisinta kappaletta veloituksetta näytteeksi miltä musiikki herrojen käsissä kuulostaisi.

”Kun istuttiin poikien studiolla ja kuultiin vesseleiden tuotokset, oltiin koko bändi heti sitä mieltä että meidän oma ”dream-team ”on tässä!”

Clarkkent soittaa rokkia jossa on sekä pursuavaa positiivista energiaa että syvää haikeutta. Lavalla pojat ovat kuin kotonaan. Hiki lentää ja yleisö viihtyy - lähinnä kädet pystyssä.

That was a close one!

Clarkkent, a rock band from Helsinki Finland, nearly released it’s debut album on its own. The band had been working on the album for three years with various producers and mixers with a small amount of money they earned from playing gigs. They had reached the point when the main goal was just to get the record out and into the stores and see where it would take them. There had definitely been progress for example touring as the warm up act for the Rasmus but still there was that next step to take. The major label companies of Finland were not interested so the band was open to try anything. This meant even contacting the power duo Jukka Backlund and Samu Haber of Sunrise Avenue.

“Yeah it felt strange to present our songs to Jukka and Samu – the media had portrayed them more or less questionable and I really wasn’t sure I wanted them involved with something so dear to us.”, said the lead singer Jaakko.

Backlund and Haber were instantly excited about Clarkkent and Backlund offered to produce two songs he thought to be definitely hit material free of cost just to show the band what they could do.

“When we sat there in their studio and listened to the versions they had done the whole band agreed that this was the “dream team” we’d been looking for!”

Clarkkent plays rock that’s packed with positive energy yet still obtains deep melancholy. The guys are at home on stage. Sweat all around and the crowd goes wild.
