HISTORY
Orion was born June 23rd 1982 and raised until the age of 14 in a family financed by Aid to Families with Dependent Children. His mind state, a byproduct of an urban environment set the pace on a path which has lead to him being incarcerated for almost 6 years since the age of 14. Self educated through numerous books, and experiences he made the transition from boy to man and finally to adult. At this juncture Orion focuses on his music and other less noteworthy ambitions that he refers to as ..legit hustles...
ARTIST
EXPERIENCE
Mr. Simerl has always felt a strong connection with music, an attachment that goes far beyond what could be defined by words. At the age of 13 he began writing songs. Over the years he progressed in his musical endeavor and gained prestige as a hip hop artist where ever he put his skills on display. He has been recording for about 4 years, and recording professionally for close to 3. His artist inclination is confident yet humble knowing that humans are in a constant flux. There is no such thing as a plateau so he must diligently pursue advancement in his craft otherwise it would signal a decline in quality. Orion has been performing under the stage name of Clark Kent at local venues with the label Scummed Out Entertainment. The founder of the label DJ Beeker Beats has been incarcerated but in his absence the core members of the label continue to carry on the movement.
INFLUENCES
Orion has been influenced by all genres of music, and a vast array of artists. The artists that have had the greatest impact on his creations would be Twista, Nas, Justin Timberlake, R-Kelly, Bill Withers, Chamillionare, Metallica, Boston, 2 Pac, and Phil Collins.
OBJECTIVE
Orion..s passion for music burns with the intensity of a million suns, and as he knows money is great, to him historical significance is better. Music is not only an outlet for him to reach people but a rock he can build a foundation upon to change the world once established as an entertainer. As of now he has already written a book which is in the editing phase of production and should be due out within a month. The goal would be to lead a faction of people to consider how they process information. At the same time he enjoys a good time and realizes that music usually assists people in doing so. He has a balance in his song creation between meaningful songs and songs that appeal to the mainstream.
