Sounds Like
A little like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, King Crimson, Dream Theater, Randy Rhoads, Jimmy Page, yet not a clone of anyone! And kind of like this:
Heads UP! Clark here with a couple of things I want you to know! First, this is NOT my main site, & if you REALLY want to get the most info, you need to go to my "dot com" site: http://www.ClarkPlaysGuitar.com. Second, although the tracks featured here right now are instrumental tracks, my band & my live performances are NOT strictly instrumental. Some new recordings are coming which feature vocals, and they will most likely hit the "dot com" site FIRST. So check that site often! That's it (at least at the moment), so now you can read the rest, which some way under-paid PR firm wrote about me & my music!
Many people become musicians with the goal of becoming famous and wealthy, and will play whatever style of music is in fashion at any given moment, hoping this will move them towards their goal. Others enter into the world of music to play music that moves them on emotional, intellectual, and even spiritual levels. They will stay true to their vision, without consideration to financial rewards and celebrity. Clark Colborn is of the latter type, having walked away from commercial sure things which would have meant abandoning the music that stirs his soul. As the guitarist behind Clark Plays Guitar, the name given to both his band and his first CD, Colborn strives to create new sounds and compositions that are probably not what your average major-label puppeteer is after. Audiences, however, devour Clark Plays Guitar with proverbial relish.
Combining hard rock guitar sounds with elements of classical music, progressive rock, blues, and even heavy metal, Clark Plays Guitar appeals to people who love powerful & yet melodic music. The typical fan seems to be of above-average intellect, prone to not following the crowd, and has an adventurous nature. And perhaps contrary to what the major-label types would have you believe, there are a lot of music lovers that fit this profile.
Colborn understands that audiences want to be entertained, as well as inspired and stimulated during a live music event, so he and his band push the envelope during every show. They deliver on every level to create a concert experience that has been described as a high-voltage, electrifying roller-coaster ride of hard-driving rock.

Thank you very much for the acceptance. So cool of you not to get sucked into that mainstream and go your own way. You are a fantastic musician and I wish you the best.
