Geoff Convery, Keith Brown, Jim Hancock:
Originally formed as a duo in 2000. At the time Geoff was with Sam Pirt in the Barleycorn Ceilidh Band and Jim was shantying with The Roaring Forties. Although initially aimed at the folk club market bookings for a wider range of events started to come in, often requiring an extra member to give a fuller sound and greater breadth. This spot was filled on an ad hoc basis by guest appearances from a variety of muso friends and eventually Keith Brown became the regular "guest" his multiple skills as an instrumentalist and a musical approach very close to that of Geoff and Jim made him an ideal choice.
By 2005 bookings as a 3 piece had become the norm and Clarty became a permanent trio. This coincided with the release of Clarty (the duo)'s first album "Work's A Bitch!" which was hastily rebranded as Jim & Geoff to avoid confusion. (A multiple choice exam will follow to ensure you've been paying attention)

Hi Guys, Thanks for the add, it was lovely to meet (some of) you last week..nice songs! It's a small world, I notice Mr Gibb left the previous comment, we have a joint gig with him tomorrow night!!
Hi there and thanks for the add. Feel a bit awkward, like the first guest to arrive at a party. Don't worry though, I'll be standing on the dining room table singing ave maria wearing nothing but a bucket by the time the others arrive. x
