  • Bio

Classic Artists Today (c) is a weekly syndicated radio program that features, "The Best Songs Today...From Yesterday's Top Artists." Catch our 1-hour show on Saturday at 9 PM (USA-ET) and Sunday at 3 PM (ET) at WRRW-FM 100.9 in Williamsburg, VA (simucast at www.wrrw.fm), Saturday at 5 PM (ET) on Tommy TuTone's Rocket Radio Network at www.rocketradio.us, Saturday at 6 PM (ET) at http://www.957thepanther.com.... Wednesday at 11 PM (ET), Friday at 7 PM (ET) and Sunday at 6 PM at www.starfmradio.net, Sunday at 8 PM (ET) and Tuesday at 9 PM (ET) on The Penguin from Asbury Park, NJ at www.thepenguinrocks.com.... Wednesday at 7 PM and Saturday at 11:00 AM (ET) at Island 91.9 FM in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles (simucast at www.island92.com), Wednesday at 6 PM (ET) at www.kchost.net, and from the U.K. on Radio Bracknell airing Wednesday at 7 AM (ET), Friday at 2 PM (ET), Saturday at 4 AM (ET) and Sunday at 3 PM (ET) at www.radiobracknell.com .... The CAT features Rock, a little Pop and a touch of Soul from artists that have sold millions and millions of records during their careers. Their latest songs, from a recent CD, are featured with a “Classic” song after every 3 new songs. Each week there is a “Featured Artist” spotlight that features a new song, “classic” song, and many times include a recent Interview. You'll also hear "lost" songs that were "previously unreleased," from classic bands and performers..... The “Classic” song featured is typically a song that shows up on a “Greatest Hits” compilation, but is seldom played on a Classic Hits/Rock station. The “New” songs have much of the same attributes and quality that made the Artists a “Hot” commodity in their heyday, but are consistently overlooked by radio programmers today..... Many of these Artists were among your favorites and were a part of your record, cassette or 8-track music collection. With the wide diversity in the music industry today, you may have wondered what happened to the groups and singers you knew so well. On Classic Artists Today, or C.A.T., we’ll feature new material by these musicians who filled the Concert Halls, Arenas and Stadiums of yesteryear. .............. ......Layout Created at KillerKiwi.net...... ........> .. .. R.K. White with Donna Jean Godchaux-McKay formerly of The Grateful Dead
