About me:
Classic Motorcycle Repair was started out of a small 400 Sq. Ft. shop in June 2005 in the hopes of eventually locating to a full sized store. Growing only by word of mouth, Classic Motorcycle continued to service customer’s for over 3 years. The demand on bikes 10yr and older became to Large for such a small shop that in October of 2008 Classic Motorcycle moved to a larger shop.
The owner of Classic Motorcycle Repair has thirty years of heavy mechanical / electrical experience. Some history on the owner: He has worked in manufacturing plants in central Illinois that manufactured heavy off road mining trucks the largest of which could haul 270 tons. Also, worked in a machine shop running machines and holding close tolerances down to a few thousandths. We made parts for International Harvester. After a down turn in the economy back in 1980 he moved to Sacramento, California where he worked as a commercial / residential refrigeration / appliance technician working on everything from 110 volt systems to 440 volt systems. When he re-located here to Colorado Springs he also maintained the refrigeration and appliances in housing and at the commercial facilities at the United States Air Force Academy. After working at the USAFA for several years he decided he wanted a change and went into the mortgage business which after the current drop in the real estate business he opened Classic Motorcycle Repair, going back to his natural mechanical talent. This is his third service business that he has owned all of which have been successful. His goal with Classic Motorcycle Repair is to provide service to all of those who ride older motorcycles as the other larger shops do not. He wants to have four full time mechanics that can service any year, make and model of motorcycle and get to the point where we can do a complete dis-assembly, off frame restoration process that anyone can afford. His extensive background in the service industry has been a major help in building Classic Motorcycle Repair and he wants to keep growing and making this company even better with time.
Classic Motorcycle Repair is a full service facility specializing in all makes and models, 10yrs and older. But also work on newer bikes as well. All work is Guaranteed.
