Class of 69 was founded by Bobbie Wilson in late 2002. We play rock'n'roll from the 1960s, and originals that continue in that same spirit. If you catch us live, you can expect to hear songs normally associated with British bands like The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Who, The Beatles, as well as American bands like the Standells and Paul Revere and The Raiders. We sometimes play some of the lesser-known nuggets from the 60s, and we've also been known to whip out some raunchy blues from time to time . The old, poorly recorded but incredibly honest version of "That's the Way It Goes" got 1583 listens in about nine months. I have now uploaded a much-improved version, recorded live at Opening Bell Coffee last December.
This version of the song is also included on "The Slap-Dash CD April 28, 2007", my new 12-song 100% homemade CD. I slapped it together and dashed out the door with a handful to play at the Cedar Hill Arts Festival a few weeks ago. I will continue to produce them for as long as they sell, which they are doing (thank goodness!).
