Hello, I am Gretchen, I am a graduate student at The Ohio State University, I study Middle Eastern History and Languages. I am from the great state of OREGON!!!! I graduated (wow, i'm old) from Washington State University, and I am going to miss the west coast... I am from Philomath (Corvallis), Oregon so Columbus is my first experience in a "real" city. I love my cat, my bird, my clothes, and being blonde/blondes.
I hate Arab or Muslim racism, yes there are Muslims that we can safely call "Bad guys", but there are just as many "bad guy" Christians as well. In our society we have acknowledged that it is wrong to be racist to blacks, but for some reason it is ok to be racist and say racist things about Arabs; that is twisited.
Among my bizarre career goals, I want to be in Playboy. I know I know I am pursuing a PhD making time to work for Playboy seemingly does not fit in my schedule. However, you only have one life and I have years to be a professor, but not many years to be in Playboy.
and finally, my favorite activities are traveling the world, watching football, and spending time with Pat (yeah I had to throw that in there..) and making a difference for the environment and the happiness of others :)
