Hello, my name is Dana Davis-Stensrud. Some of you know me very well and of you are just getting to know me. I’m going to try to make this short and sweet.
I have Crohn’s Disease and have had it for 14 years. I am in remission and this year I am participating in the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s 5k walk downtown Indianapolis, IN on June 7th. It is a very big deal this year as they have not had great success in the previous years. Last year they raised almost $30,000 but in the two previous years they only raised around $900!!!! So, this is a big year for us. It is easy to participate, but if you are not able to participate even your $5 donation will be greatly appreciated. I have my own link you can donate directly on there or if you do not have credit card availability, you can write checks (that are tax deductible) and can get that information to you. PLEASE help me this year with my goal. Last year I raised $1,400 and my goal this year is $2,000. I think with all of your help, this is totally within reach.
I want to thank you in advance for your efforts and your donations. I’m proud of myself for all that I have achieved and what I’m going to be able to do in the future. I want to help others that hear those frightening words “you have Crohn’s Disease”, and let them know and see that it doesn’t mean your life is over…..it means that you get the chance to make your life better and live each day to its fullest!!!
