My main influences would be Janis Joplin, Fiona Apple, Emiliana Torrini, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall, Beethoven, Joe Cocker, The Mamas and Papas, Crossroads soundtrack (and no it's not the Brit Spears one!!), The Commitments, and despite not really hearing it in my music, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Nirvana.
Sounds Like
I have been compared to Joni Mitchell, Janis Jopkin and Norah Jones but I have also been told that my voice is unique; but I'm sure you will decide for yourselves... :)
I was born in Dunfermline, Scotland, where I lived for 9 years, then I was taken to France for 7 years where I attended an International school (which will explain why my accent is so messed up if and when you meet me because I am constantly asked about it!!!). My first music encounter was when my brother was receiving piano lessons and at the cheeky age of 4 I sat and played 'Happy Birthday' on my own. I had piano lessons for some years which ceased in France. I then got a cheap electric guitar and amp for xmas when I was 11 and played until that guitar was no longer playable! In this time I also played drums from the age of 14 and played in a band called Inbasic at 6th form, where we played about 1/2 gigs and 1 garage gig then fell apart!
I then had a little stretch where I had no guitar and felt very naked. But then getting an electro-acoustic I started writing my own material at Uni. Dropping out of Uni to continue my music I have persued and attended open mic nights in Bristol and Hull, played a few headers, I participated in a competition at Hull City Hall in 2006 with other soloists competing which I came 1st, and since then I have done a demo and am in the process of plugging it and have also very recently appeared on BBC Radio Humberside with Alan Raw on RAW Talent. I am constantly looking for local gigs at the moment, unless the gig is on the weekends where I can travel further afield. If anyone would like to book me please let me know through either myspace or at: claudette_tillier@yahoo.co.uk
Michael Jackson will always be with us... through his music .. God have called him to Duty in heaven, and Michael have left us to recieve his wings, and take rank in gods Mighty Kindom. Music is a special part of our physical and spritual lives.... it's the very connection that bonds people from one part of the world to the other. We must realize that all of us will be called home one day... and that's how God planned it. We are here a short while and then we return to our true home.. a home that can never be taken, seperated, or broken into. And the creater is right by our side to protect us day and night... Michael you are truely a star, because your brightness shines beyond the heavens..... rest in peace... and we will see you soon.... Because of my love for you i have writen you a special song..........your friend Marion Pharoah

The record companies don't want to give me a deal because i sound like Michael Jackson,,,they hate him so much, until they don't want anyone who sounds like him.. My song are Orginal with my music. So i had no choice but to keep moving forward on my own. What they fail to realize is that YOU are the judge, not them. My music will speack for me.. it's my voice. How many record companies executives you think buy CD's? "NONE" they get them free. You are my judge if you feel that my music is good..and you truely love my style of songs ( Please leave a comment ) ; You can help me win a record deal from Myspace... just click "Grab it" on the player and copy and paste the Widget of the Cassette on my page to your page, and spread the word.. . here's the link just in case you need it...http://adsupport.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=rockthespace.fan&sproutid=mwDPCQWHCDUR0zX2 thank you for hearing me out... and if you love Gospel music... goto this site ...

Hey! I didn't even know, thanks for telling me! I just got 2 tickets to the Detroit show on April 19! Check out where I am going in May: http://rockontherange.com/ I can't wait!
If you like the music then you should check out the album on iTunes, Napster, AmazonMP3 or Rhapsody. I'd appreciate your support. The links are on the main profile but I could send them through a comment if you like -- it's up to you. I've often found that most people just tend to pass by, say they like the music, but I never hear from them again. Unfortunetly I meet a lot people with empty words on here; it's a shame.
Nevertheless, I hope you get around to downloading it.
