Claudia Holanda has mixed all the tunes she used to listen to in her infancy and adolescence to the new sounds which we hear now.
Being a self-taught musician, her compositions float in a free way for diverse styles, such as Soul, Jazz, Maracatu, Funk, Bossa-nova and Ballads even to Brazilian rhythm, especially the northeast rhythms. The result has become a sound sometimes full of heat and at other times smoothness, defended by the characteristic and strong voice of the singer and composer from Pernambuco, a Northeast state of Brazil. Claudia was born in Recife the capital of Pernambuco and has lived in Rio de janeiro since 1997.
The first C.D. called "No meio do Sol" released in 2007 (recorder Amellis/Tratore) brings 10 tunes, all of them composed by Claudia Holanda. The arrangements were made by pianist Leonardo Mendes and the guitarist Marcelo Nami.
Claudia was a vocalist with many Chorales and Pop bands at the beginning of her career. A detached for the respect “Canto da boca" Choral, from Federal University of Pernambuco, where she also studied Journalism Course. After she finished her Journalism Course, Claudia moved to live in Rio de Janeiro and started to perform in many shows and projects. One of the most important was side by side with Paulinho da Viola, a great Brazilian composer of Samba and Choro, also participating in the show was the Portela school of Samba.
Claudia has been performing in shows in many different places in the City, and because of her differentiated voice, she is invited to take a part and perform in musical projects on many occasions. The recognition of the public comes by the way of people seeing the shows, listening to radio, and the internet, the principle way to release her tunes. Four of her tunes are in the programme of many important radios in Rio and the Northeast.

A banda liderada pela cantora e compositora Val Becker inaugura a agenda de 2009 com um show no Café Cultural Mal do Século, na Lapa.
