Hello Claus, thanks for your interest - and re-request :-) It is an intellectual pleasure to hear every track from you! I am glad to meet you and your exceptionell music here. All my best from Hamburg Udo
Today I have been listening to your CD and enjoying the music a great deal!
Your work is very meditative, I think; you concentrate on exploring certain pitches and their sonorities in a very delicate and expressive way. This meditative nature seems to have it's roots in aspects of minimalist music - not the very rythmic, repetative style of African and then American minimalism but more like the music of Feldman and even some eastern music traditions. And even though your work has some frenetic outbursts of energy, it seems to naturally gravitate back to the calm quiet sound world that you explore so effectively. Even within the different pieces on the CD and the different instrumentations, there is a consistant language of approach, harmony and gesture - an aesthetic all your own. Your work is full of atmosphere, delicate textures and explorations of colouristic nauance. It's quite beautiful at times too.
Thank you so much for making the disc and sharing it with me - I feel as if I know your work and style so much better now. It was a great pleasure!
