Influences
generic vegan anarchist live-with-your-parents student punk, hilarious whiteboy comedy ska with grade 8 trumpet, cynical "one line, same word rhymes" uk grime, big fat tunes by people with so much more money than us telling us how theyve got so much more money than us, cover bands, the dubstep rhythm button on the whole of shoreditch's fingertips, HAIRCUTS, indie full stop, mercury prize nominated bullshit, the same old beats, the same love dove from up above rhymes, the same lies, and the same mass produced minds??!!
Sounds Like
"A tasty assortment of King Prawn's growly dub, the quirkyness of Lightyear and the fast-paced honest vocals of Ye Wiles. Give it a good stir and add some early Capdown (when they used to be known as Soap) and you get ClayPigeon. Yum." - Big Cheese Magazine
Status report.... ClayPigeon is alive again! Steve is recovering well from hiship replacement and we have played a show with our chums The Skints to start back into things... We are going to be relatively quiet for a while, with the occassional London show, whilse we work on our new material and learn how to be tight as a band once more...However, things are on the move 100%, the set is fresh and new at last, and we are back playing shows again, just not many to start with. Please feel free to get in touch on here if you want us to play, but also please be aware that we are keeping shows to a minimum for a while while we advance the whole pigeon experience another level, and come back as robocops KISS KISS EVERYONE
"I love it when bands have personality. So often a band will just blend in with everything else, but with ClayPigeon that's just not the case... The prospect of seeing this band live excites me to no end. Please, for God's sake check this band out… No matter what you listen to" - A SHORT FANZINE ABOUT ROCKING.

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!

KING PORTER STOMP with TIN ROOTS @ THE BRUNSWICK, SAT DEC 12TH.
We're very happy indeed to have been invited back to play a Christmas show at the Brunswick. We're gonna be joined by our festival friends and wicked roots reggae groovers, Tin Roots, so expect a whole lotta skanking and stomping around with the odd mince pie chucked in.
We'll be fresh from our South West mini tour and it'll be the last chance to catch us play before we go into hibernation to record our new album at the beginning of the new year...we may even give you a sneaky taster of what's in store...it's gonna be fat and funky for sure. We're planning knocking 2009 on the head with a bang so please come down and experience us burning off all the calories we've got and lifting the roof in a proper stomping party stylee.
It's hopefully gonna be rammed so please get your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, and they're cheaper!
