I love playing bass guitar. I've been playing for about 16 years now, and just recently advanced to a 5-string bass. Man, that extra string really throws you off at first!
I have a passion for reaching out to people who have been burned out and turned off by the church. My newest way of trying to reach people is through a podcast Bible study.
I love playing soccer. I've been playing for the better part of the last 25 years | | Music | While I only listen to Christian/Worship music these days, my influences are very diverse. When I was 14 years old, I bought a Dead Kennedys album when it first came out, and have never looked back - I've been listening to punk, ska, and rock ever since! Some of my favorite bands throughout the years have been The Supertones, the Mr. T Experience, Five Iron Frenzy, Corrosion of Conformity, Foo Fighters, Relient K, The Cure, Tree 63, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Jeremy Camp, Reel Big Fish, Newsboys, the Pixies, Keith Green, Goldfinger, G.I. Gantic, the Aquabats, Chris Tomlin, The Smiths, SFC (old school Christian rap!), Van Halen (the Sammy years)...there are plenty more, but I think you get the idea that I'm fairly diverse in this category. | | Television | Feasting on Asphalt, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Smallville, 24, Lost, Jericho (did they really cancel this one?), The Biggest Loser, Intervention, The Unit | | Heroes | Jesus is my hero of heroes, but you probably would have guessed that.
Randy Coutoure is also a personal hero of mine - I have to give props to a guy who gives the Gospel message to 19,000 screaming fans (and multitudes of people watching live on PPV around the world) just minutes after winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship. That's just so cool! |
