FEATURING IN LIVE PERFORMANCE (Our home and road band)
Ronnie Kimberlin (Drums) Ronnie has been with Clear Blue 22 for going on 3 years now! This crazy Texas boy has a "yeehaw" like none other and can sing higher than a dog whistle!! Ronnie AKA "Hair Blowing in the Wind" always appears to be in a music video... It's as if the wind follows him wherever he goes...
Johnny "Sweet Tea" Myers (Lead Guitar) AKA "The Hollywood Hillbilly" Johnny has been with Clear Blue 22 for going on 3 years now. We love our little Virgina boy--mountain accent and all! He's got amazing chops, and he can even play the guitar with his TEETH! Really!! Catch a show and see what Johnny adds to the mix. Don't be surprised if he's wearing his "hillbilly" shoes...

Clear Blue 22’s second single “Happy” is their follow up single to the Music Row charting debut single “Wild In The West” which received substantial airplay at Country Air Check and Radio and Records stations as well. Known has the hardest working band in Reno, “the biggest little city in the world,” just ask the folks at KUBB and KBUL in Reno or KNAH in Merced, CA about Clear Blue 22, and they will let you know that the trio of Jasmine West, Paul Reyes and Don Simpson are the real deal.
The trio came together in Reno, NV in the spring of 2001. From the first meeting it was clear that despite coming from very different backgrounds, their talents complemented each other perfectly. They weren’t sure where they were headed, but they felt sure that they would get there together.
It all began when former United States Air Force meteorologist Jasmine West posted an ad on a local music shop’s bulletin board advertising “Vocalist Seeks Band.” Paul Reyes (rhythm guitar and vocals) and Don Simpson (bass and vocals) had been writing music and performing together for seven years, but they were on the lookout for a dynamic vocalist to complete the package. As luck would have it, Paul and Don came across Jasmine’s ad, and when they met it was clear that all three shared a passion, dedication and musical chemistry.
Clear Blue 22 quickly became one of Nevada’s favorite country rock bands, developing a dedicated regional following through their tireless touring in the festival and casino circuit. The trio is well known for their high-energy performances and the ability to keep the crowd on the dance floor with a rousing combination of honky-tonk and rock influences.
Ready to translate their fun-loving live show to the studio, the group joined forces with Ted Hewitt for their debut album “Wild In The West” on Back to One Records distributed by the Progression Music Group (PMG) scheduled for release on February 10, 2009.
Hewitt, known for his production work with rising star Rodney Atkins, captured the spirit of Clear Blue 22. “Clear Blue 22 is a uniquely cool band,” says Hewitt. “From their great vocals to their high energy live performance, they mirror the terrain of their native West: beautiful yet rugged. It certainly doesn’t hurt that they look like they just stepped off of a Hollywood set. The rest of the country is getting ready to find out what Nevada already knows - they rock!”
So hold on…despite the good flying conditions, with Clear Blue 22 you are in for a wild ride!
