Clear Blue Betty emerged in 2002 out of the highly respected Madison music scene and has quickly risen through the ranks to become a Wisconsin-music powerhouse. Their freshman release, Never Been a Rebel, earned them the 2005 Madison Area Music Award (MAMA) for Best Rock Album. Not to be outdone, their 2006 sophomore release, Write Your Name in the Sky, also earned them the 2007 MAMA Award for Best Rock Album and has been described as "a giant step forward ... putting Clear Blue Betty in the running as one of Madison's hottest groups" (Rick's Cafe, May 06).
The band is led by "the straightforward local rockers' not-so-secret weapon" (Isthmus, April 06), Beth Kille, who was recently dubbed the Queen of the Madison Rock Scene (John Urban, of Urban Theater, UPN 14) and earned the 2006 MAMA for Best Female Vocalist.
They have been described as anything from "Madison's answer to the BoDeans" (Isthmus, Aug 06) to "intelligent, vigorous rock & roll" (Madison Songwriters' Group, May 06) and "high energy Midwest roots rock" (Appleton Post Crescent, Mar 06).
Whatever the description, one thing is evident - their live shows are always powerful and entertaining, as thousands of fans across the Midwest can attest.

I just can't even express what a huge influence this band has on my music and the way that i love to perform, Betty especially, my dad know Doug and a few summers ago we came to see you play acoustic in Door County- I loved it- you all just express such an amazing message through your performance. So ya, just thought you should know! =) -Sam Owen.
Finally got the double CD and have been listening to it every chance I get. It is great. My favorite song right now is "Rome"- love the mandolin playing. I'm trying to learn it on my new used acoustic guitar. Get this- the original owners name was Betty and it has her name on the box! Thanks for the music, Clear Blue Betty!

Great show guy's, you sound amazing. I don't really believe you've taken off six months and sounded that good:) Thanks for helping out, I owe you one...or two:)
Thanks for the add! I just recently stumbled across your music and I really like it. I'm going to get a CD sometime, can't right now because of a slowdown at my workplace. (automotive)
You don't need one bit of help from me, did you hear yourself sing? You are awesome. I love Through the Walls and everything about your voice and sound. Can you give me any advice? You rock and I'm honored to know you and hope we can meet someday.
Kim Yarson CD Satisfied to be released end of 2008
Opened the mailbox today and there's a package marked from CBB so I'm assuming that the $500 you were giving away to everyone who went to Bratfest and signed up at the booth is in the package. So, thanks for getting that out to me in such a timely manor....I appreciate it. I didn't open the package yet, but I trust that it's all in there ;)
Thanks for letting me jam at Arthur's. Thats "3" times now Ive gotten to share the stage with my Bethy!! Go luck with the move to Texas. Im already counting the days.........
Great show last night at da Club as always. You rocked the house despite having your voice crap out on you. A true star! Rest easy, take care of yourself and I'll try my hardest to make it to Arthurs in a few weeks. Thanks for everything!!!
