Clear Blue Skies is the name created by Derek on his own and the whole band when/if they play together. A once UK touring band, now Derek runs Acoustic Magic and plays every night he books.
He runs this with Melanie who watched and learned how it works alongside Derek.
He will be touring Acoustic Magic in time. Playing 150 to 200 shows a year CBSkies have a love for music and people which keeps them going and growing daily, making smiles and memories everywhere.
As a band they played Channel Four, E4 and toured the UK. Had tours, Tv, new Label offers but the band broke for many reasons. Held together for a year to finish off the band gigs, the final break was too much.
Now on his own Derek pushes hard to reach everyone who wants them with tours, radio, Tv and whatever else is going on.
There is a lot to learn and more to teach. Album five and six out soon written by Derek and Hairy.
Now Derek is working on his own and with everyone of the Acoustic Magic players...
There is always so much more to do and being in it for all the right reasons, Derek could never fail.

Hello my lovely northern friend:). I was just thinking about you.:)The fire is burning nicely in the boat as we speak, so it's lovely and warm. Gary is very well, he is helping to build a wood chopping machine for us all here, so I can be lazy and not chop wood anymore. I am busy organising gigs for next year and looking forward to our May tour:) I have booked P. J McGintys for when you come down again in August, so that is a definite.
