TEE KAE (Vocals): A lead-vocalist in many local bands and projects since 1996, Kae has proven his worth, time and time again. Helping one of his former bands to achieve 1st Place in a high school "Battle Of The Bands" in 1999, almost landing a record deal with a co-created duo rock group in 2002, and winning all 5 of the Karaoke Competitions he's ever been in, Tee Kae continues to amaze people with not just simply his vocal talents, but with his amazing ability for lyric writing and wide-ranged vocal structure, enabling him, most literally, to transform his voice to fit the feel and needs of each individual song, and to create several layers of harmonies when it comes to recording. A few of Kae's inspirations, as a vocalist, range from Layne Staley, Sully Erna, Criss Angel (yeah, Mindfreak can sing too!), M. Shadow, Kurt Cobain, Vince Niel, Brett Hestla, Scott Wieland, Brandon Boyd, Eddie Vedder, Scott Stapp, Bon Jovi, Lejon, Rob Zombie, Trent Reznor, and too many more to add to this thing. Pretty much ANYONE who has a powerful voice, and that can actually sing..........
CHRIS AUGUSTYN (Guitar): Playing since 1997, and was raised by a father who played guitar, Chris can also play bass and taught himself how to play piano. His many inspirations range from: Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Velvet Revolver, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, and pretty much ANYTHING that sounds good musically. He's even a fan of classic rock and has fun jammin out to 80's Hair-Metal every once in a while. Chris describes his own personal style as being a combo of: Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Keith Richards, and Eric Clapton..........LUKE CHIKEROTIS (Guitar): Playing since 2003, Luke picked up his first guitar and hasn't put it down since. He is self-taught, with numerous influences ranging from Accoustic Rock to hard-hitting Heavy Metal, inspired by bands that include Pearl Jam, Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Our Lady Peace, and Eve 6. With a fantastic ear for guitar tone, Luke has an impeccable ability to alternate between the various musical styles of Clearing Nightwatch...................KEN VANDER (Drums): Ken started playing in 1987, which goes as; he's been playing his whole life, from pots and pans before dinner, to desks in school, walls in the hall.. Self taught by ear, to enharit a 62' ludwig, and been playing on it ever since...Ken considers himself to be a John Bonham style syncapation, with a Vinnie Paul punch in the face! He plays anything and everything from Death Metal, Metal, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, (oh yea, blues!), to even Rap and R&B. Ken's played with many people, and even just by himself with his music. Ken states, "I listen and I play, Its all I do and all I can do"... His influences include, but are not limited to: Pantera, Van Halen, Iron Madien, Black Sabbith, Metallica, Death, Mashuga, Slayer, Deep Purple, STP, LED ZEPPELIN, TOOL, DA Jovi_ slippery when wet< first album, Lamb of God, Korn, Joey Jordison (him-not slipknot), A Perfect Circle, Peal Jam, Jars of Clay, Nirvana, Da Stones, Aerosmith, and "THE DOORS". As far as his life influences goes, it all cored around music, and the way things are...............MATT LEE (Bass): Matt started playing guitar in the year 2000. In the summer 2005, Matt studied music with Pistol Pete (www.myspace.com/pistolpeteguitargypsy), a dynamic musician, performer, and teacher. Soon after the many music lessons with Pete, Matt decided to make bass his primary instrument. Matt's preferred method of guitar was playing without a pick which made the transition to bass natural. Matt's significant influences includes; Pistol Pete, Victor Wooten, Stefan Lessard.......

From Chicago's South Side, Luke Chikerotis and Chris Augustyn grew up together as next-door neighbors for 17 years, and have been friends for 18 years and beyond. It wasn't until the winter of 2005, that the two guitarists hooked up and decided to play music together, initially playing cover songs and jammin' out at backyard parties. In the summer of 2006, it was time to put creative minds together, and start bangin' out original music. Consequently, Clearing Nightwatch was formed. The guitar collaborations that you hear on this page, are the monsters created over the past year, most of them originally intended to be instrumental songs. Over this time, Chris and Luke have developed an extreme sence of musical theory and timing, demonstrated by their frequently used double-guitar harmonies and blended rhythem tracking......
From Chicago's suburb of Glen Ellyn, ENTER: Tee Kae! A seasoned vocalist for many local bands and projects since '96, a self-taught pianist for over 18 years, and a five-time Karaoke champion, Luke and Kae had previously worked together at a golf course in 2005. One evening, a small but memorable jam session was held, consisting of Kae, Luke and Chris. Kae had gone M.I.A. since that time. Almost 2 years later, remembering that one jam session, Luke and Chris tracked Kae down, via email, and asked him to join Clearing Nightwatch. Hesitant at first, and completely unaware of their growing knowledge of music, Kae listened to the tracks in amazement, completely impressed, and jumped on board the very next day, adding himself to the roster!..........
Ken Vander met Tee Kae at a Karaoke location in South Chicago. Impressed by Kae's vocals, Ken introduced himself and they started discussing music. A week later Ken came to audition for CNW and completely blew away any and all expectations that the band had. A phenominal rhythmic drummer, hailing from Chicago's Southside, Ken Vander quickly became a member of the band after impressing CNW with his amazing abilities..........
Matt Lee had wanted to be a member of CNW since the beginning. Due to the restraints of school, he was unable to do so until the summer of 2009. Matt's devotion to learning CNW's music was only half as impressive as his playing abilities. As being Luke's friend, Matt made as being an excellent and welcomed edition to Clearing Nightwatch...........
Clearing Nightwatch is inspired by all that is Rock N Roll, paying tribute to the greatest musical ledgends that ever set foot on this planet, without actually being a "tribute band"..."It's the passion that these artists put into their music, that touched so many people over the generations...that's where our inspiration comes from"....Keep in mind that the music on this page was recorded in a basement, using a minimum of professional equipment, and we will eventually get our asses into a real studio and re-record these songs the right way...Things are still in the preliminary stage, as some of these songs will change a bit as time goes on...We would suggest opening up the LYRICS icon when listening to these tunes, so that you can better understand the lyrics...more songs will be added very soon, so keep checking back as often as possible...In 2008, Clearing Nightwatch's song "Rock N Roll Dirty" was aired on a Chicago A.M.
