INTRODUCTION IN ENGLISH ET EN FRANÇAIS
Cyrille Verdeaux..s music is not well known from the main stream audience because of his flawless attachment to his artistic freedom (this fact convinced quickly the show business to boycott his music during all his long career started in 1973).
Yet, Cyrille is well known and appreciated in the World of collectors and musicophiles.
In the prestigious Billboard guide for progressive Music, several of his albums figure in the top 100 of the all times favorites albums of these anglo-saxon journalists. He is also the only Frenchman to be in this list…And to have been signed by Branson..s Virgin records.
In these remarkable albums such as Clearlight Symphony, Forever Blowing Bubbles, Clearlight Visions or Messenger of the Son, ones can find the elite of the progressist musicians operating in the 70..s and 80..s scene. From Didier Lockwood to David Cross, from Didier Malherbe to Dallas Smith, from Steve Hillage to Jean-Philippe Rykiel, from Christian Boulé to Frédéric Rousseau, from Tim Blake to François Jeanneau, etc. they are all here and thanks to them these albums found a way to create a timeless feeling.
The best of compilation of this time period (1974-1981) are composing the YANG CD.
But Cyrille..s music doesn..t limit itself to this particular progressive music..s style.
His life experience after 1980 and the miles stone in his life dues to the death of his beloved 5 years old son Jonathan, he extensively travelled in India, California, Brasil…As a result, he could enhance his life experience and transmute it in music for our spiritual benefit.
The best moments of his major opus, the KUNDALINI OPERA, 7 times 60 minutes long is to be discovered in the YIN CD.
In this compilation, Cyrille..s main instrument, the Grand piano, regains the central importance and the phenomenal progress having occurred since 1980 in the synthesizer technology has been of a great help to Cyrille to record himself his symphonic orchestrations thanks to all the years he spent in the French Conservatoire Superieur de Musique between 1964 and 1972.
To help him to stay independent, Cyrille uses now Internet to continue his job of composer-distributor of genuine music and his Yin-Yang compilation is an excellent introduction to his work of composition that began with his first serious band, Babylone, in 1971, along with the guitarist Christian Boulé (RIP).

Peu connu du grand public du fait de son attachement sans faille à la liberté artistique, (ce qui lui valut le boycott de sa musique par le show business tout au long de sa longue carrière de compositeur-producteur commencée en 1973 avec Virgin rec.), Cyrille Verdeaux est néanmoins bien connu et apprécié chez les musicophiles et les collectionneurs, tant amateurs que professionnels. Ainsi, dans le prestigieux Billboard guide for progressive music, plusieurs de ses albums figurent dans le top 100 des oeuvres favorites de ces journalistes anglo-saxons. Il est également le seul Français à y figurer...Comme il est le seul Français à avoir signé chez Virgin records.
Dans ces albums remarqués, comme Clearlight Symphony, Forever Blowing Bubbles, Clearlight Visions ou Messenger of the Son, on peut trouver pour accompagner Cyrille la fine fleur internationale des musiciens progressistes des années 70 et 80. De Didier Lockwood à David Cross, de Didier Malherbe à Dallas Smith, de Steve Hillage à J-P Rykiel, de Christian Boulé à Frédérick Rousseau, de Tim Blake à François Jeanneau, etc., ils sont tous là, et grâce à eux, ces albums ont su traverser le temps sans prendre une ride.
La compilation des meilleurs moments de cette période composent le CD YANG. Mais la musique de Cyrille ne s’arrête pas à la musique progressive. En 1980, la perte tragique de son fils Jonathan âgé de 5 ans le pousse aux voyages initiatiques, en Inde, en Californie ou au Brésil, ce qui l..aida à connaître de nouvelles réalités qu’il a transformé en musique pour notre plaisir.
Les meilleurs moments de son oeuvre majeure, la Kundalini Opera, longue de 7 fois 60 minutes, est à découvrir dans le CD YIN. Dans cette compilation, l’instrument principal de Cyrille, le Grand piano, reprend toute sa place centrale et le progrès phénoménal qu’a connu le synthétiseur depuis 20 ans a aidé Cyrille à enregistrer lui-même ses orchestrations symphoniques grâce à ses années d’études au Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris et de Nice, entre 1964 et 1972.
Toujours désireux de rester un artiste indépendant, Cyrille utilise maintenant internet pour continuer son métier de compositeur-diffuseur de musiques originales et cette compilation spéciale Yin-Yang, à l’image de la nature humaine, est une excellente introduction à son travail de composition commencé avec son premier groupe, Babylone, en 1971, en collaboration avec son ami guitariste, feu Christian Boulé.
