The year was 2008, the place; Loimaa, Finland. The first Clefsnake tunes were created. For the band members, writing their own songs right from the start went without question. This band doesn't bother thinking about their influences and inspirations too much but rather lets them unconciously find their way into the music, then incorporates them into a fresh and hard-hitting heavyrock coctail. Perhaps you can't reinvent the wheel, but you can always try make it your own. Catchy choruses reminiscent of the 80’s and riffs that combine past decades present a picture of a group that knows its roots but looks forward with an open mind. When it comes to the live performances they are as mind-blowing and ass-kicking as any rock band’s worth its salt. The music forms images of blazing carousels where doped-up horses gallop feverishly with thundering hooves, it tells stories where the emotions are deep, though gutters may be deeper. It, in short, Rocks. Your. World.
With a help from their first promo-cd - released in the summer of 2009 - Clefsnake are heading for new avenues to make their hard rock accessible to wider audiences and to find contacts that would help the band move ever forward.

Ensimmäiset Clefsnake rallit saatettiin
alulle. Omat biisit oli heti lähtökohtana. Bändi, joka ei vaivaa päätään
liikaa miettien vaikuttajiaan ja inspiraatioitaan, vaan antaa mieluummin
niiden löytää alitajuisesti luokseen, ja täten
sekoittaa niistä raikkaan, hyvin päähän nousevan heavy/rock koktailin.
Sitä kuuluisaa polkupyörää ei
voi keksiä uudelleen, mutta voi siitä oman näköisen rassin tehdä.
80-luvun tarttuvat kertosäkeet ja riffit, jotka yhdistävät niin menneitä
kuin tuleviakin vuosikymmeniä, luovat käsityksen juurensa tuntevasta,
mutta avarasti eteenpäin kurkottavasta pumpusta. Lauluja liekehtivästä
karusellista, jossa kaunottaret ovat huumanneet hevoset, tunteet käyvät kuumina ja katuojat ovat toinen toistaan syvempiä.
Keikat bändi hoitaa niin kuin rokkibändin pitääkin. Energia, hiki eikä volyymi lavalta lopu.
