About me:
I'm Richard Rossi, writer-director of "Baseball's Last Hero: The Roberto Clemente Story." Like my last film, "Sister Aimee," our film on Pittsburgh Pirate Roberto Clemente is the unauthorized chronicle of a great humanitarian, a man of grace and power. As a boy growing up in Pittsburgh, I played hookie and sat in the right field bleachers watching Roberto, the greatest baseball player of all time. I was devastated when he perished in a plane crash, bringing food and medical supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. This film is a labor of love and I need you to donate to the Clemente Film Foundation to make the movie.
