Currently we are only looking for bands that can submit a recording that has not been released anywhere else. It could possibly be a live version or alternate recording, and in the case of bands that are no longer together, rather than some goofy remix, it might be appropriate to submit a lesser known harder to find recording. The goal is to have 40 bands with a song ready by mid to late august. The release will feature an extensive booklet and we are asking all the bands involved to contribute a brief paragraph be it 'in loving memory'/thoughts on death/drug addiction/suicide/loved ones lost unnecessarily. In addition to this the writings will be accompanied with illustrations. Friends and family of Tyler Carr will be give space to share, and there will be a portrait of him on the cover.
Hopefully with the support of Erika Records, Dorado Press, Hellfish Printing, Bonati Mastering, Paul Gold Vinyl and CD Mastering, and MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) the record will be $25 and thanks to the kind self-less work of these independent music soldiers the cost will be low enough to raise a sizable amount of money for the Iboga House. We firmly believe that certain plant medicines with immense healing potential are being ignored, when now, more than ever, they need to be researched. Rehab/jail/the institutions of American society are failing to create real lasting changes for recovering addicts due to an immense lack of research and understanding. It is my personal belief and currently hypothesized, that Ibogaine has the potential to reprogram addictive patterning in the brain.
