FOR FREE!!! The CLF [CHRONIC LOVE FOUNDATION] Event was hosted by Pioneering DJ / Producer / Promoter JAZZHEADCHRONIC MICKEY SMITH [Man behind likes of the revolutionary CLASH, ARMAGHETTO + COOL VIBE Events Eg DJ Krush Vs DJ Shadow, HK 94] and CLF Co Founder / Music Partner, the Legendary Drummer / Producer / Arranger MARQUE GILMORE the innamost [DRUM FM, Katia Labeque, Weather Reports Joe Zawinul, Nitin Sawhney, Guy Called Gerald] The Duo really pulling out the stops to play several truly STORMING INTERACTIVE SETS over the weekend, with JAZZHEADCHRONIC Previewing tracks from his new album THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN EAR DRUM on Saturday Night to a way Hot Eruptive Reception!!! The Godfather of Asian Breakbeat, STATE OF BENGAL absolutely Killing it LIVE. Progressive Heavy Weight LIVE, Drum, Bass, Breaks n’ AV Heads VISIONARY UNDERGROUND with DR DAS [ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION] bringing it too damn hard :-), celebrated Vocal Afrotecht – The Irrepressible WUNMI in audio freefall, Legendary 23rd Century Sax Scientist STEVE WILLIAMSON doing it the way only he can, Influential Broken Beat Junkie DJ / Producer DAZ I KUE [BUGZ IN THE ATTIC] playing a sublime set - around the world in 60 minutes, leading Globalsistic Soul Authority DJ RUSS JONES [FUTURE WORLD FUNK - simply class, then there was Abstract Jazzsters CAST OF TWELVE who were on another level, deep and truly dope, and of course the near show stealing LIVE Afro Beat Heads YAABA FUNK followed by the African Drum and Dance Powerhouse unit JAMOJAMOARTS who literally decimated the stage, add to that ARGROOVS ERIC SOUL, TONY NWACHUKU, MR HOVIS + a whole hosts of major talented NEEDLE & THREAD ARTISTS performing Live and Djaying on the Roof and 3RD Floor Arts Space + an ARTISTS EXHIBITION from local up and coming painters / phtographers, PERFORMANCE ARTISTS flowing in and out of the crowd over the weekend, we even had TEA & ORGANIC CAKES + KILLAH MOHITOS on the roof, Gotta say it was the near perfect event.
