Music is a passion of mine that has to take a backseat to my day job as a an English teacher. I started playing guitar around the age of seven. I used to sit on top of the chest freezer on our back porch and strum the three chords I knew to every song I could figure out. Dad played the guitar and Mom sang at church, so music was always around the house. During my college days I discovered the full sound of a 12 string. The guitar playing was still about accompanying my singing. I sang and played rhythm (and even some upright bass) with a couple of groups. It wasn't util about 6 or 7 years ago that my dad took a renewed interest in his guitar. We would get together from time to time to jam. Both of us became more interested in flat picking. One thing led to another, and before long we both owned mandolins. ********************************************************************************************************************************
Hope you enjoy my Music on here. It is mostly instrumental and digitally recorded at home with me playing lead and rhythm guitar, bass, and mandolin in overlapping tracks (kind of a modern-day one-man-band). I'm still learing about the equipment and always learning about the music.
