    Early bands: The Mysterons (1979-1980), The Interferons (1980), Introducing Dragons (1981), Part-Time Airmen (1981). Played first solo gig in 1980 at High Wycombe College. Released self-financed debut LP Village Tours Start Here in 1983, followed by Stretching Arms And Legs (1985), Songs From An Untidy Bedroom (Upstart Records, 1986) and The Care Assistant (Big Untidy, 1988). Performed with Gary Williams (violin) throughout the 80s. Ex-Airmen Hugh Gascoyne (bass) and Nigel MacKenzie (drums) joined Product and Williams from 1986-88, performing as Clive Product, armsandlegs. Financial Suicide LP released on Billy Bragg's Utility label in 1989. Relocated to Berlin in 1990. Fate On A Plate LP released on Big Untidy in 1992. Gigged with Berlin-based band - Carsten Kaufhold (guitar), Volker Gebert (bass) and Ricki Strauch (drums) - from 1992-94. Wrote and edited the Big Untidy fanzine (1994-1999). A book, Beautiful Extremes: Conversations With Kevin Coyne, was published in 1999. Several more albums recorded but remain unreleased: Overnight Obscurity (1996), Shooting Stars (2000), Skeleton Songs (2002). Formed Potsdam-based band in 2000 featuring Stephan Zehle (bass), Ralf Noack (drums) and, from 2002, J.Sky (keyboards). Toured and recorded as part of The Anglo-German Low Stars (with Harry Coltello, Erich, Grae J Wall, Andy Keeble and Martti Mäkkelä) from 2000-2004. Their notorious film soundtrack The Night Of The Amazon was released on 9pm Records in 2001. A follow-up was recorded in 2003 but remains unreleased. Solo EP Broken Pieces released by 9pm in 2004. No-One Should Drink Alone (with Grae J Wall) released in 2006. Big Untidy website (www.biguntidy.com) launched by Clive and Untidy pal Barry O'Brien in 2006. A cover of Kevin Coyne's A Loving Hand was included on Whispers From The Offing: A Tribute To Kevin Coyne on Life And Living Records in 2006. Guested on Nikki Sudden's version of Marlene (also featured on Whispers...). Appeared at the Nikki Sudden Tribute Concert in Berlin in 2006 and contributed to the Sudden covers EP Road Of Broken Dreams (along with Grae J Wall, Martti Mäkkelä and Clark Nova) released in 2008. A solo acoustic album, Like The Tide Coming In, was released on Big Untidy in August 2009.
