Clock Stooges Band was formed during the distant past January of 2009 in Thessaloniki, first started with Konna on the vocals and Jimmie on the guitar as an unplugged band with a view to cover well-known blues and rock songs.
Very soon that idea was abandoned for something more noisy and two other members, Nick on the bass and George on the drums, came to complete Clock Stooges line-up. From that moment the playlist of the band includes many covers of punk, alternative, blues, hard rock and heavy metal songs.
Five months later, after many rehearsals and inspirations we decided to record our songs and made our first demo 'The Escape' (which you can hear here, on the radio or find it in several weird places). Four months after the recordings we thought that was time to change our drummer George. After a while John came as Clock Stooges new drummer.
The general style of Clock Stooges songs is the absence of any style, so the band walks beyond the alternative paths. About the meaning of the band’s name, 'Clock Stooges' is something without reason or substratum, only the feeling that in all cases everyone has something to escape from… We are people without reason or substratum as well.
