The Closed For Winter web Forum is moderated by documentary maker Megan Spencer.
This a Public Forum where you are invited to contribute to a conversation that Megan began with the many cast and crew of Closed For Winter, when she shot the ‘behind the scenes’ documentary for the film during the production in Adelaide.

Opening nationally on April 23rd, Closed For Winter is a film about a young woman, Elise (played by Natalie Imbruglia), trying to come to terms with the grief that has plagued her since her sister Frances (Danielle Catanzariti) went missing 20 years earlier. The silence surrounding the event; the secrets and lies, the paralysis she feels about living her own life and the guilt about being the one left behind... Elise embarks upon an emotional journey to find out what happened. If she doesn’t come to terms with this mystery then her own life may never start.
Closed For Winter is a moving, authentic and poetic film about 'a missing person' - a subject that is often difficult to talk about.
The Forum includes Video Clips of interviews with various members of the Closed For Winter cast and crew. There they answer the question, "Has anyone ever gone missing from your life, or has your life ever been touched indirectly by a missing person?"

You are invited to listen to their answers by visiting the CFW Forum, and to share your own comments, thoughts and stories as well. Their answers are thoughtful, personal and surprising. They also reflect that even though we don't often talk publicly about the subject, missing persons touch our lives more than we care to admit. According to AFP statistics, in Australia, someone is reported missing to police every 15 minutes. Though most are found, the people who are not deeply change the lives of those around them forever.
After the film's release on April 23, new clips will be added each week to the Forum, with new perspectives and answers from other Closed For Winter film folk.
With that in mind, the Closed For Winter team hope you might become a part of this special conversation at the online Forum. Looking forward to seeing you there...
