January 11, 2008 will mark the six-year anniversary of the first arrival of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay. For nearly six years, Guantanamo Bay has tarnished America’s image and diminished our ideals. It is a symbol of torture, abuse, and injustice. Its closure is long overdue. On, January 11 the ACLU is calling on people of conscience everywhere to wear orange to symbolize their disgust with the shame that is Guantánamo Bay and to demand that the U.S. government close Guantánamo!
