About Cloudsplitter

Formed on a whim in 2006, the first incarnation of Cloudsplitter played several shows in Vancouver B.C. opening for the Mountain Goats & also The Awkward Stage. A recording was completed the same year but never released. The band featured members of The Buttless Chaps, Great Aunt Ida & Fond Of Tigers. Geographical separation and busy touring schedules prevented much performing at that time. A new lineup was formed in 2009 with members of Swank, Fond Of Tigers, Ghosthouse & The Buttless Chaps. The band will be making a return to the stage on July 15th opening for The Handsome Family. Stay tuned for news of an album release and further shows. The tracks up here that are able to be listened to are unmastered versions of the recording session. Thanks for listening!
