Sounds Like

"The best way to describe their sound to me would be to simply call it huge...Darcy Pease is a captivating front man, showcasing the persona of David Johansen, the mystique of Jim Morrison and vocals that are reminiscent of Ian McCulloch. That sounds like incredibly high and ridiculous praise, but you have to see this band...I anticipate big things for this little band and although I've made such proclamations before only to be greeted with great disappointment, I hope this time exceptions are made because Clouds That Look Like Things really are THAT good."

- Bob Battams (itsnotthebandihateitstheirfans.blogspot.com)

"I was impressed at how well the band flowed together. They’re ability to feed off each other’s rhythms and movements proved to be a feat conquered by both the music and the band."

- Joel Chico (www.torontoindie.com)

"The music is piercing, chilling, but full of brash energy. This is indie-rock at it's most haunting, most dynamic. Add twinges of UK swagger, and a bit of Toronto youthful fearlessness, this is a band that has alot of promise."

- The Lonely Vagabond

About Clouds (that look like things)

We watch the world pass by through cracked glasses, just to say we see it differently. We step outside in the dead of night to take deep, cold breaths, and blow water at the moon. We capture moments with words and other canvases, so that we might live forever. We drink whiskey out of coffee mugs and sit on borrowed couches, laughing at everything, and at nothing, while blowing smoke rings in the wind.

From meanderings in moldy basements to practices in smoke filled rehearsal spaces, Clouds (that look like things) have a sound of their own, and are looking to share their raw, energetic experience with anyone willing to listen, and perhaps move a limb or two.

The Rivoli better get ready, because tonight VEDETTE, Canary Mine and Little Foot Long Foot are coming to party, and bringing all of their party people.  Each act is super-pumped to bring you their best set EVER, and we can't wait to see you there!
If you miss out, then you'll be one of those sucky "I missed out people", and someone will play a sad, farty old tuba song in your honour...
Don't be like that.  This one's definitely gonna be a party, and you won't believe what's in store for you. So c'mon by the Rivoli tonight!  334 Queen Street West (which is basically at Queen & Spadina.)

That was a great set at Rancho Relaxo. Prolific and tirelessly uninhibited, yet most importantly, an indie-rock delivery in full-force. Powerful vocals fronting exuberant guitar-drenched rock weaving through hook-filled melodies and touches of synths. A demonstration of what being in a rock band is all about. Epic optimism, high-energy. Dynamic.
